Traveling Ba­che­lor of Cam­bridge Un­i­ver­si­ty (BA 1850, MA 1860), Blunt took Ho­ly Or­ders in 1851. From 1856 to 1860, he was In­cum­bent of Crew Green, Che­shire. In 1860, he be­came Rec­tor of St. Luke’s, Chel­sea. He wrote his hymns for fes­ti­vals at St. Luke’s.
