Ed­u­cat­ed at St. John’s Coll­ege, Cam­bridge (BA 1862, MA 1876), Bo­dy served as Cur­ate of St. James, Wed­nes­bu­ry (1863-5); Sedg­ley (1865-7); Cur­ate of Christ Church, Wol­ver­hamp­ton (1867-70); Rec­tor of Kirk­by-Mis­per­ton (1870-4); Ca­non of Dur­ham and Miss­ion­er of the Di­o­cese (1883); and Proc­tor for the Arch­dea­con­ry of Cleve­land (1880-5).
