Antoinette took an in­ter­est in re­li­gion from an ear­ly age, with a bent to­ward mys­ti­cism. Un­der­tak­ing the work of a re­form­er, she vis­it­ed France, Hol­land, Eng­land, and Scot­land. Her en­thu­si­asm, pe­cul­i­ar­i­ty of views, and dis­re­gard of all sects raised on the one hand zeal­ous per­se­cut­ors, and on the other warm sup­port­ers. Her writ­ings were pub­lished in 19 vol­umes at Am­ster­dam in 1688. Her works in­clude:
