Gilding played the or­gan at St. Mar­tin, Lud­gate, Eng­land, and at St. Ed­mund the King, and start­ing around 1765, at the Par­ish Clerk’s Com­pa­ny. He con­trib­ut­ed to Ri­ley’s Pa­ro­chi­al Har­mo­ny in 1762.
