Son of James Corry Lowry, Q. C., of Rockdale, Duncannon, Ireland, Somerset was educated at Repton School and Trinity Hall, Cambridge (BA 1877, MA 1880). Ordained a deacon in 1879 and priest in 1880, he served as Curate of Doncaster; Vicar of North Holmwood, Surrey (1891); Curate of St. Augustin’s, Bournemouth (1900); Rector of Wonston (1911); and Vicar of St. Bartholomew, Southsea (1914-19). Upon retirement, he moved to Bournemouth. His works include:
