Daughter of John Deck and sis­ter of hymn­ist John Deck, Ma­ry mar­ried in 1848 Dr. Ed­ward Walk­er, some­time Rec­tor of Chel­ten­ham, Eng­land. Sev­er­al of her hymns ap­peared as leaf­lets, others in her hus­band’s Psalms and Hymns for Pub­lic and So­cial Wor­ship, 1855.
