Born: June 8, 1660, Husum, Schleswig.

Died: May 29, 1722, Bremen, Germany.

Son of Herr Lorenz (or Laurenti), a bur­gess of Hu­sum, Lau­ren­ti­us en­tered the Un­i­ver­si­ty of Ros­tock in 1681. A year and a half lat­er, he went to Kiel to stu­dy mu­sic. In 1684, he was ap­point­ed can­tor and mu­sic di­rect­or at the ca­thed­ral church in Bre­men. His works in­clude:

• Evangelia Me­lo­di­ca, das ist: Geist­liche Lied­er, und Lob­gesänge, nach dem Sinn der ord­ent­lich­en Sonn- und Fest-tages Evan­ge­lien (Bre­men, Ger­ma­ny: 1700)
