Died: Feb­ru­a­ry 17, 1903, Penr­arth, Wales.

Buried: St. Au­gus­tine’s Church, Pen­arth, Wales.

Parry’s fam­i­ly moved to Dan­ville, Penn­syl­van­ia, when he was 13 years old, though he oft­en re­turned to Wales. He at­tend­ed the Roy­al Acad­e­my of Mu­sic, 1868-1871. He was Pro­fess­or of Mu­sic at the Un­i­ver­si­ty of Wales, 1873-1877, and re­ceived his doc­tor­ate of mu­sic from Cam­bridge in 1878. He al­so taught at the Un­i­ver­si­ty Coll­ege of South Wales and Mon­mouth­shire (1888-1903). His works in­clude op­er­as, or­a­tor­i­os, can­ta­tas, pi­a­no piec­es, and hymn tunes.
