Died: 1613, Wit­ten­berg, Ger­ma­ny, of the plague.

Gesius stu­died the­ol­o­gy at Frank­furt, was a can­tor in Wit­ten­berg, then Frank­furt an der Oder from 1592. His re­li­gious com­po­si­tions in­clude a Pas­sion ac­cord­ing to St. John. His other works in­clude:
